<p><strong>EBBF PRESS RELEASE NO. 1</strong></p>
<p>EBFF has been informed by Romanian Federation about their impossibility<br />
to go ahead with the European Women Championships to be held in Brasov<br />
on June 2-5, this year. This short notice cancellation creates obvious<br />
trouble.</p>
<p><strong>2006 EUROPEAN MEN CHAMPIONSHIPS â€“ BRATISLAVA (NEW!)</strong></p>
<p><a href="/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/flaga-slowacka.png"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-41" src="/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/flaga-slowacka.png" alt="Bodybulding" width="170" height="102" border="10" /></a>Slovak Bodybuilding &amp; Powerlifting Federation will be the host of this year European Men &amp; Mixed Pairs Bodybuilding Championships. They have already successfully organized 1995 World Juniors and Masters; 1997 World Womenâ€™s and 1999 World Menâ€™s Championships. Slovakia is a real bodybuilding and fitness superpower. Slovak National Teams won both 2005 World Menâ€™s and World Womenâ€™s Championships and placed 2nd at the 2005 European Menâ€™s.<br />

<p><strong>2005 IFBB WORLD MENâ€™S CHAMPIONSHIPS â€“ FINAL RESULTS (NEW!)</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ebff.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/chiny.png"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-41" title="chiny" src="http://ebff.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/chiny.png" alt="" width="166" height="101" /></a>World Menâ€™s Bodybuilding Championships were held in Shanghai, China, for the second time in the IFBB history. The first were organized here in 1994. Shanghai is now a very modern, dynamically developing city, with dozens of sky-scrapers, supermarkets, night clubs and gyms, of course. 157 competitors representing 51 countries participated in the Championships, held in the Shanghai Indoor Stadium. The medals were distributed in 8 bodyweight categories, as 60 kg class was included in these Championships. Final standings, after doping tests results, are available now.</p>
<p><strong>2005 IFBB WORLD JUNIORS &amp; MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS (NEW!)</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ebff.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/flaga-wegier.png"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-43" title="flaga-wegier" src="http://ebff.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/flaga-wegier.png" alt="" width="150" height="98" /></a>Held in the middle of Europe, in Budapest, Hungary, 2005 World Juniors &amp; Masters Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships have broken all previous IFBB records of participation, with 181 athletes representing 37 countries, compared to 139 athletes and 30 countries in 2004. Special thanks to the Hungarian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, run by its President Istvan Huber and Executive Director Ms. Zita Osiyemi for their great input, hospitality and skills displayed during the Championships. <p><strong>2005 MEDITERRANEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ebff.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/flaga-wloska.png"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-45" title="flaga-wloska" src="http://ebff.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/flaga-wloska.png" alt="" width="157" height="99" /></a>The recent Mediterranean Championships were held in Catania (Sicily) and were successfully prepared and staged by the Italian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, under the leadership of its President Mr. Benedetto MONDELLO and with the great input of the event promoter Mr. Giuseppe IMPELLIZZERI.</p>
<p><strong>A TRIBUTE TO JOE WEIDER &#8211; CREATOR OF THE OLYMPIA</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ebff.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/godlo-ibff.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-47" title="godlo-ibff" src="http://ebff.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/godlo-ibff.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="98" /></a>Joe Weider wrote an editorial for the April 1965 edition of MUSCLE BUILDER magazine in which he described the creation of a new event, a &#8220;Superbowl of Bodybuilding&#8221;, which would become the pinnacle of athletic supremacy in the sport. This event was the Mr. Olympia.</p>
<p><strong>2005 IGP CLASSIC &#8211; CONTEST IN NORWAY</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ebff.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/norweska-flaga.png"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-49" title="norweska-flaga" src="http://ebff.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/norweska-flaga.png" alt="" width="166" height="101" /></a>There will be an interesting bodybuilding and fitness contest in Larvik, Norway, on September 30th â€“ October 1st. It should be specially interesting for the participants of the recently held IFBB World Womenâ€™s Championships in Santa Susanna, while they are in top shape now. The winners in overall categories will receive money prices: 1st place â€“ NOK 10 000 (EUR 1 288); 2nd place â€“ NOK 2 000 (EUR 256); 3rd place: NOK 1 000 (EUR 128). The contest has been accepted by the Norwegian Bodybuilding &amp; Fitness Federation (EBFF and IFBB affiliated member) and will be run according to the IFBB Technical Rules. More info:.</p>

IFBB Pro, former Mr. Romania and Masters Olympia competitor Emeric Delczeg is also featured in the movie, as well as two-time â€œWorlds Strongest Womenâ€ Jill Mills and fitness supermodel Carmen Garcia. <p><strong>2005 BALKAN CHMAPIONSHIPS</strong></p>
<p>2005 Balkan Championships took place in the Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall, Athens, Greece, on April 23-25, 2005. The contest was organized by the Greek Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation under the auspice of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports Ministry. It was one of the biggest events in its history, with 78 athletes from 6 countries.</p>
