Obama Care Approved!

Now that Obama Care has been approved, maybe the US can reverse the decline in health.  The truth is, many people don’t know how to be healthy because of lack of health education.  Now that everyone will have health care through “Obama Care”, we should see a decline in the obesity epidemic and begin to reverse unhealthy trends that have been learned for decades.  Reference: Obesity epidemic article.

That is, as long as the Republicans don’t overturn the healthcare bill!  Reading this article from Latino Times News got me angry!  I’m an independent, not normally on the side of the Republicans or Democrats, but to fight against healthcare?!  Instead of working together, Republicans are seeing this as an opportunity to use the bill as a “weapon”.  That’s insane.  Reference: Obama Care Analysis.

Heavyweight 22 Year old Woman embraces her weight

“I love my body,” she said. “I think it’s perfect. I don’t know what my personality would be like if I wasn’t so huge.” says Holley Mangold, from this Latino Times article.  Weighing in at 350 pounds, this 22 year old isn’t shy about her weight.  In fact, she embraces it.  On her love of food: “I’m a superheavyweight for a reason. I don’t really like to avoid food. I like to embrace it and enjoy it.”  Even though she carries the weight, she’s nimble enough to do the splits.  Quite an amazing girl!
